A Pirates Party

No crafty post here, but I wanted to share some photos from our celebration of the little guy's 4th birthday. We had a pirate party, complete with pirate ship cake and a treasure hunt. I like to do things myself for the kids' party... this one was a lot of fun. The best part was when we ventured out into the neighborhood to find the hidden pirates treasure. All the guys (Daddy, Papa, Uncle and cousin) were decked out in Pirate garb, complete with bandanas, eyepatches and hoop earrings (hey, I was in charge of the party, so they had no choice!). We followed the treasure map which led us to the play area down the street. The treasure was found.... and as we headed back toward the house, a realtor and her clients stepped out of the house for sale right across from the playground. We were a sight! So either they left and never looked back for fear of the pirates in the neighborhood or they are happy to have found such a fun block to live on! Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.... Enjoy!
