Tart and Tangy Photo Holder

I was able to pry my own hands from the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog long enough to do a little creating this afternoon..... I have to say that the Fall/Winter 08 catty is my favorite ever (I know, I know.... I say that each catalog, but really, it's the best ever this time!) There are so many new sets, design series paper, accessories and ideas - I find something new each time I make my way through it. One set that made it's way into the catalog is "Tart and Tangy"; it's from the Spring mini catalog and I am glad it's available for any of you that may have missed the first chance to get your hands on it. It is soooo cute and the matching paper is wonderful. I used it today to create this picture holder; a perfect way to display a favorite photo on a desk. In this case, this is one of my favorite pictures.... look close and you'll see my little goof-ball seems to be doing an impression of Peter Brady in the "Pork Chops and Applesauce" episode!

I covered a cardboard coaster with the coordinating paper, added a little ribbon and created a fun embellishment using a couple circle punches and the scallop circle punch. By using glassy glaze over the strawberry, I added a thick shine to make it really "pop!"

If you'd like to find out more details about this project or how to purchase the supplies needed to make your own, give me a shout!
Check back soon to find more creations and inspirations.....
