The Big Move to Big Sky Country!

The Crafty Corner is on the move again!  The story of my life, at least for the last 20 years or so....
We are leaving sunny California and headed for new adventures in Montana.

We (hubby and I) have been planning this move for a little while now, and I can't believe it's finally here.  The movers will be at our house this week and we will be loading up the kiddos and heading north.  My husband just retired from the Navy, after 21 years of honorable service.  The timing seemed great to take the opportunity to move back to his hometown and try to establish some real roots.

The boys are so excited for the move!  They have loved summer visits there and are happy to see what other seasons bring.  I am excited and scared at the same time.  I have lived most my life is Southern California and Arizona, so snow is not something I am used to.  But, I will have lots of opportunity to get more than used to it in Montana.  Luckily I will have this summer to get a little adjusted before the extreme weather kicks in.  I will be keeping busy for the first few months.... there is a huge orchard with nearly 100 fruit trees and a very big garden awaiting us.  I will be canning and making lots of jam and other goodies.

I am taking a few crafty items with me, but lots of my stuff will be packed out for a while until we are completely settled.  I will check in once in while and post about our new adventures.  When I get my new crafting studio set up, though, I will be back and hopefully full of inspiration and creativity!  Until then, think of me as I slip on my new cowboy boots, grab my bear spray and take on the new adventures that await....
