Polka Dots for a Friend

Just whipped up this little card for a friend who is having her first ultrasound tomorrow. I know how excited she is and I wanted her to know I was thinking of her. I was inspired by Kristina's polka dots, so I thought I'd take it from there. These Maya Road journaling stamps are a lot of fun too. Enjoy!

Card Workshop, Part Two

I'd like to share the other half of the cards we made at my recent card workshop, along with a bonus.... the little gift I made for the ladies that attended. We had a great time and I'm already planning out my next event. I'll tell ya, I'm on a roll. I've dusted away the cobwebs and I've been spending a little time each day up in the Crafty Corner. Today I started working on the goodies for the little guy's upcoming birthday... stay tuned for a sneak peek at those. But for now, I'll leave you with the rest of the cards from Friday's workshop....... Enjoy!

Card #4 - Happy Birthday

Love the Kraft cardstock with Versamark ink! With the blue and green tones, this makes a neutral birthday card great to have handy for anyone.

Card #5 - Tangerine Thank You

I love the monochromatic look of this elegant card. The French background was stamped in Versamark and the flowers were stamped in Tango Tangerine. The vellum bellyband adds a simple sentiment.

Card #6 - Teacher Thank you

We're finishing out the school year soon, so I thought this would come in handy for everyone. Just a simple 4 1/4" square card and the apple embellishment adds a little pop. The apple is cut out using my Quickutz squeeze tool.

Last but not least, the little favor I made for my workshop guests.... just a simple covered notebook with matching pen. Really a simple, but thoughtful project!

Card Workshop, Part One

Happy Weekend! I started this weekend off right..... last night I had a card workshop with a group of friends and we had a great time! Everyone showed up to kits ready to go, so there was a little stampin', a little assembly, lots of chit chat and lots of fun. Everyone made a total of 12 cards.... 6 designs, 2 of each design. Today I will share a few of the cards we made, and check back soon to see the rest of them. Enjoy!
Card #1 - Friendship card
On Stampin' Up Kiwi Kiss.... stamped flowers and lots of circles. Added a little paper piercing for some extra detail.
Card #2 - Dad's Day Card
Used my new Martha Stewart Clear Pattern Stamps paired with Stampin' Ups Dad's Day set. Great card for any dad!

Card #3 - Girly Birthday
A little mix of pink and flowers for a simple, but pretty feminine birthday card!

My New Sketch Book

Shouldn't be a surprise that I've found inspiration from Kristina again..... a while back she showed us her sketch book that she uses to jot down card layout ideas. I think it's a great idea because I sometimes come up with great ideas for cards and imagine all the little details, but when I actually get to the crafty corner, the ideas are long gone with last week's grocery list. So, I'm thinking if I start sketching these brilliant ideas down, I may actually be able to turn them into cards. Hmm.... what a concept. I put together my book and then filled it with this cool template for inside pages that Kristina has available. So take a quick look, leave a comment if you'd like and then go rush to make yours before you forget all those brilliant ideas floating around in your head.....or you could always turn it into your shopping notebook so you stop forgetting the milk and eggs when you go to the store.....Enjoy!

Teacher's Box O' Goodies

It's Teacher Appreciation week and we love spoiling our teacher's with goodies! My little guy's Kindergarten teacher is going to love this container that's personalized and filled with lots of fun stuff. She needs the little supplies, but I think she really needs the chocolate when dealing with a room full of 22 five and six year olds!

This idea came from a great site I follow.... eighteen25.... they have lots of good ideas and downloadables to help you along in your own creativity! Here's their version of this teacher box of goodies. Thanks for stopping by and come back again soon for more from my Crafty Corner! Enjoy!
